Beat the Cold with Hotelbook

As the colder weather approaches and Winter settles in, don't let the cold get the best of you.  Hotelbook has a wide variety of great boutique hotels that are ideal for warm weather getaways.  Fight the cold and reward yourself with a vacation away in great properties in Greece, the Canary Islands, and the Bahamas, where Summer is typically a mainstay all year long.

In Greece, check out the Kyknos Beach Hotel, a 4-star resort with a bungalow feel and first-class amenities, and just steps from the beach.  In the Canaries, let the warm winds carry all your worries away, and enjoy a relaxing leisure spa, spacious old-world style rooms, and the inviting Las Canteras Beach at the Santa Catalina Hotel.   Last but not least, the Breezes Bahamas sits on beautiful Cable Beach and features a wide variety of water sports to choose from, nightly concerts & entertainment, and a unique look and feel that is distinctly Bahaman.  Chances are, I'll be trying to make it to one of these places soon, I need a little beach time.

Skiing into the holidays

It is getting to be that time of year where a ski trip is a must for me. I'm not the best skier, but I like to get out there and try. On hotelbook.com, I found a great hotel in Telluride, Colorado. What really stuck out about this hotel was the ski-in, ski-out aspect of it. I have never stayed in a resort like that, and I have always wanted to. Since I am not the best skier, I decided it might be good to take ski lessons while I am there. I found the Telluride Ski & Snowboard School and saw they have adult group lessons. This is perfect so little kids who are better skiers do not embarrass me! Besides all the skiing I am bound to do, does anyone have any suggestions for what else to do while I am in Telluride? I have never been there before, so any suggestions would be great!

Thanksgiving Travel Ideas

It's that time of year again for turkey, tradition, tunes, and more turkey.  Yet, instead of sticking to the same old Thanksgiving celebration with the family, break the mold this year and enjoy the festivities in a different location that's a bit further South and quite a bit warmer.  For example, at a unique boutique hotel in Cozumel, Cancun, or Cabo San Lucas, experience a Thanksgiving in Mexico unlike any before.  Thinking of something a bit more Caribbean?  Try Turkey Day in Jamaica, Puerto Rico, or the Cayman Islands.  This time around, maybe you'll come back from Thanksgiving vacation with not only a full stomach, but a sun tan as well.
